The term "bélás" is an informal name once used in Hungarian for the 2 forint coin, although there are popular beliefs and misconceptions about the name. The name originates from former prison slang and spread among convicts. Some people thought that for a short time there was a coin on which IV. The portrait of our King Béla was visible, but there was no such coin officially in the Hungarian monetary system.
